In a historic ceremony held today, the 17th Students’ Union Government (SUG) of the Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED) was officially inaugurated. The event marked the beginning of a new administration, led by Abidakun Tomide Micheal, popularly known as Tommygrin, who emerged victorious in the recent elections with a resounding 64.63% of the votes.
The inauguration ceremony, attended by students, staff, and dignitaries, signified a smooth transition of leadership. Outgoing SUG officials officially handed over the mantle of leadership, reflecting on their administration’s achievements and expressing confidence in the incoming team’s ability to take the union to greater heights.
Delivering his inaugural speech, President Abidakun expressed gratitude to God, his supporters, and the TASUED community for their trust and confidence. He also commended the Independent TASUEDSU Electoral Committee, led by Dr. Kunle Balogun, for conducting a free and fair election that upheld democratic principles.
“Today marks the beginning of a great dispensation for TASUEDSU. This moment offers a lasting imprint of solutions for our union,” Abidakun remarked.
