The Students’ Parliament of Tai Solarin Federal University of Education (TASFUED) has officially lifted the ban on election activities ahead of the forthcoming Students’ Union Government (SUG) elections.
The decision was announced by the Senate President of the Students House of Senate (SHS), Distinguished Senator Seyi Bakare, during the 10th Joint Sitting of the Parliament, which brought together members of the College Parliaments and the SUG Senators.
The lifting of the ban formally signals the commencement of the electoral season within the Students’ Union, paving the way for the Independent TASFUED Electoral Commission (ITEC) to begin preparations for the next student leadership elections.
Also present at the sitting was the President of the 18th Students’ Union Government, Senator Ogunfowora Shinaayomi, who addressed the Parliament and reflected on the achievements of his administration.
