Ogun CP Bode Ojajuni Visits Ijebu Igbo Area Command, Commissions New Commander's Residence

The Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command, CP Bode Ojajuni, paid a courtesy and familiarisation visit to the Area Command in Ijebu Igbo, where he also commissioned the newly constructed Area Commander residence.

The Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command, CP Bode Ojajuni, PSC, paid a courtesy and familiarisation visit to the Area Command in Ijebu Igbo, where government and traditional leadership welcomed him and pledged continued support for security efforts in the area.

During the visit, the Commissioner of Police also commissioned the newly constructed Area Commander residence in Ijebu Igbo, marking an upgrade to the facilities available to officers serving in the area.

A Pledge to Tackle Cultism and Kidnapping

Speaking on behalf of government during the visit, local leadership promised the Commissioner of Police the administration's full support in tackling critical security challenges in the area, with particular emphasis on cultism and kidnapping.

The Executive Chairman of Ijebu North East, Hon. Foluso Badejo, joined the visit alongside representatives of the local government leadership. The chairman representing the host administration, Hon. Omobolaji Odusanya, was represented at the Area Command by the Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Adeniyi Sojirin.

Traditional Rulers and Community Leaders in Attendance

The commissioning and courtesy visit drew a wide gathering of traditional rulers and community leaders from Ijebu North and Ijebu North East, reflecting the significance placed on the Commissioner's visit and the new facility.

Community leaders and other stakeholders joined the Commissioner for the commissioning and what was described as an important security meeting, underscoring the collaborative approach being taken between government, traditional authorities and the police to address security concerns in the area.
