The ancient town of Ilese came alive with glamour and celebration as contestants competed for one of the community's most prestigious crowns at the Miss Ilese 2026 pageant.
After several rounds of competition that showcased beauty, confidence, intelligence and stage presence, Ariyo Oluwaferanmi, a graduate of Lagos State University, where she studied Biochemistry, emerged as the winner and was crowned Miss Ilese 2026.
A native of Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, Ariyo impressed the judges throughout the competition, earning the highest overall score to secure the coveted title. Her victory marks the beginning of a new chapter as she takes on the responsibility of serving as an ambassador for the Ilese community and representing the town at cultural and social engagements over the coming year.
Emerging as the first runner-up was Ogunbowale Aishat Wuraola, a graduate of Yaba College of Technology with a background in Fashion Design. Her confidence, creativity and strong performance throughout the contest earned her a place among the top contestants of the evening.
The second runner-up position went to Sowunmi Oluwaseun Janet Olabisi, a 300-level Accounting student at Olabisi Onabanjo University. Her composure and impressive outing on stage secured her a well-deserved place in the winners' circle.
