The management of Aletheia University has received a new ambulance to improve emergency medical response on campus, a development described by the Vice-Chancellor as another demonstration of the institution's commitment to the welfare of its staff and students.
Healthcare delivery at Aletheia University has received a significant boost following the donation of a new ambulance aimed at strengthening emergency medical services across the institution.
The ambulance was officially received by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olukayode Dewumi Akinyemi, who expressed appreciation to the Founder of the University for what he described as another practical investment in the wellbeing of the university community.
Speaking during the presentation, Professor Akinyemi described the Founder as "a talk-and-do leader," noting that his vision for the institution has consistently been matched by tangible actions that improve the learning and working environment for both students and staff.
According to the Vice-Chancellor, the addition of the ambulance will significantly enhance the University's capacity to respond swiftly to medical emergencies, ensuring that patients requiring urgent attention can receive prompt medical intervention and transportation when necessary.
He also reaffirmed the management's commitment to ensuring that the ambulance is properly maintained and effectively deployed to serve the needs of the university community.
Following the formal presentation, the keys to the ambulance were handed over to the Director of Health Services, Professor Wasiu Olooto, who assured staff and students that the facility would be utilised efficiently to provide timely emergency healthcare services on campus.
The donation underscores Aletheia University's continued investment in health infrastructure and student welfare, as higher institutions increasingly recognise the importance of accessible emergency medical services within their campuses.
